"Gerri LeClerc's debut novel builds a suspenseful and poignant story around a compelling question: how far will a mother go to save her child? Around that timeless issue she deftly weaves themes of medicine and magic, bonding and betrayal, lives at risk and spirit that transcends death. As Thea Connor deals with the searing pain of her daughter's abduction, she finds her strength, resourcefulness, capacity to survive and willingness to trust tested as never before. Readers will identify with her journey . . .fall in love with her quirky mother Hannah and valiant daughter Emily . . . and cherish this visit to the beautifully imagined Knoll Cottage, the nurturing home ground on which a family of women finds its heart. SUZANNE FOX~~~Stories of You Books

About eleven years ago, I began to get serious with the craft of writing. It took a day or so before I was completely hooked. I threw myself into How-to books, classes, conferences, and forums. I've had wonderful teachers along the way, and my friends and family were amazingly generous with their time in reading and critiquing every word I wrote.

I have heard it said that a writer must produce ten thousand words before they have a book!

Missing Emily is the result!

At a book club meeting in CA with my daughter on the left and hostess Shawn over my shoulder. Great group. Great fun!

Dear friends Joan and George Earnhart hosted a book launch party for me. Hubby Ron is in aqua shirt.

I'm standing with artist Donna Green who took time from her Magical Moon Foundation for children with cancer to paint my beautiful cover! Thanks, Donna!
